In mid-November, our school conducted an exchange program with our sister school Tsinghua University High School (QHFZ) in Beijing. Ten of our Secondary 4 students had the opportunity to visit Tsinghua University High School for five days, closely experiencing the lifestyle of their Beijing counterparts as their QHFZ buddies took them under their wing, even kindly opening up their homes for our students to stay in.

Although the visit only lasted five days, our students were able to form meaningful friendships with their QHFZ buddies and gain an in-depth understanding of their buddies’ study environment and schedule.

The program has truly expanded our students’ horizons, not only expanding their knowledge of the lifestyles of Beijing students but also allowing them to experience cultural wonders in our motherland. Our students visited Beijing landmarks such as the Great Wall of China and the Palace Museum, and also had the delightful opportunity to enjoy some local specialities, like instant-boiled mutton and Peking duck.

We are very grateful for the hospitality of the QHFZ teachers and students who participated in the program, and look forward to hosting our QHFZ buddies at our school in January.
