Since our establishment in 1860, it has been our mission to offer an excellent all-around secondary education for girls, based on a blend of Christian values and Chinese traditions and culture. English is used as the medium of instruction in all subjects apart from Chinese Language and Chinese-related subjects. Our school offers 23 sports teams, 10 musical groups/orchestras and numerous other ECA activities.
Once admitted, your daughters will embark on a journey of discovery about the world and their place in it. At Secondary Five, students can follow either the HKDSE curriculum or the GCE Advanced Level curriculum, depending on their strengths and needs. Irrespective of their pathway, most graduates go on to prestigious tertiary institutions locally and overseas to further their education.
The annual school fee for each student in the 2024/2025 academic year is HK$ 40,000 (subject to EDB approval).

<h3>Applications Procedures</h3>
To apply, please follow the instructions below:

<li>Open an account using a personal Google account (ending with @gmail.com) at <a href="https://admission2.dgs.edu.hk">https://admission2.dgs.edu.hk</a> to access the online application form.</li>
<li>Print the Portfolio Cover Sheet after completing the online application form.</li>
<li>Download the Portfolio Summary Form from the Documents section below.</li>
</ol>

<li>Complete the Portfolio Summary Form, include it along with the following documents:</li>

<li>Personal portfolio</li>
<li>Copies of school reports for the last three years</li>
<li>A self-addressed stamped ($5.4) envelope of size C5 (162 x 229 mm)</li>
<li>An application fee in the form of a crossed cheque for $75 payable to "Diocesan Girls' School"(Please write the applicant’s name and the application number on the back of the cheque.)</li>

<li>Send the application documents to the School General Office (1 Jordan Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong) by HAND (Mon-Fri 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sat 9 a.m. – 12 noon, excluding public holidays), REGISTERED POST or COURIER SERVICE between 16th April and 30th April, 2024. Please indicate clearly "Application for 2024-25 Secondary 2 – Secondary 5" on the envelope.</li>

Applications without the Portfolio Cover Sheet will NOT be processed.
In view of the possibility of postal service delays, applicants are advised to send application documents to the School as early as possible. Applications with a postage stamp later than 30th April, 2024, or with a shortage of postage fee will NOT be processed.
 
Eligible applicants will receive notification before 18th May, 2024 to attend an Entrance Examination on Saturday, 25th May, 2024.

獲錄取的新生，將迎來充實和愉快的學習體驗，盡展潛能，發揮所長。中五級學生可按個人的擅長及需要選擇修讀「香港中學文憑考試」課程(HKDSE) 或「英國普通教育文憑高級程度考試」課程 (GCE Advanced Level)。大部分本校畢業生均順利升讀本地或海外著名大學及專上院校。

甄選過程包括兩個階段：
1    甄選申請者之｢學生個人資料概覽」（50％）及
2    面試及技能測試表現（50％）。 
 
<h3>第一階段：遞交申請</h3>
如有意報名，請依照以下指引提交申請：

 在第一階段申請程序，校方會根據以下範疇作甄選準則：

<li>校內外各範疇學習經歷（25％）</li>
</ol>
 
<h3>第二階段：面見老師</h3>
學校將於2023年10月下旬通知成功進入第二階段遴選的申請者。有關申請者須於2023年11月7日或以前，親臨學校或以掛號郵件或快遞方式提交所需文件 。 申請者面見老師的日期為2023年11月25日。 校方會個別邀請在音樂或體育方面有傑出表現的申請者，於 2023年11月18日參與體育技能測試與音樂技能試演。 此外，校方會個別邀請在其他範疇有傑出表現的申請者作特別技能示範。
 
<h3>第三階段：面見校長</h3>
學校將於2023年12月中旬通知成功進入第三階段遴選的申請者有關於2024年1月份或2月份面見校長的安排。
 
  
<h2>乙.　錄取結果</h2>
在所有面試及測試完成後，本校將於2024年2月下旬向申請者通知錄取結果。成功錄取者，須簽妥承諾書，連同小六學生資料表交回本校以完成註冊手續。  
獎學金申請
獲錄取的學生須參加於2024年5月11日舉行的「中一級新生獎學金試」/ 「中一分班試」 。學生如有意申請音樂獎學金，會獲邀參加於2024年4月13日進行的評估測試。此外，校方會根據學生之體育技能測試表現或體育成績紀錄，考慮予以頒發體育獎學金。
