As DGS graduates enter a diversity of tertiary institutes, a variety of professions or move to different corners of the world, they maintain close ties with their alma mater and with one another through Diocesan Old Girls' Association Limted (DOGA). Members share their experiences and insights to enrich the development of students at the School through seminars, conferences and visits. The network of DOGA set up in many parts of the world has also established a number of scholarships to show recognition of the current students' performance. With its President a member of the School Council, it takes an active interest in the School and is a caring partner of DGS.

The PTA, with its Chairperson an ex-officio member of the School Council, was formed in 1951 and has since played a crucial role in the DGS family.
In view of the constant need to improve school facilities and equipment, the PTA has helped the School in organising fund-raising activities for the School's expansion projects. It has also given the School abundant support by donating scholarships and awards, sponsoring coaching in many extra-curricular activities and donating trophies for the Sports Day and the Swimming Gala.
The PTA has fostered close ties between parents and teachers and reinforced the caring learning environment in the School through a range of annual activities. The workshops and seminars on parenting, conducted by expert speakers, are always well received by parents and teachers. Also, the PTA organises the school bus service and assists the School in sourcing quality school uniform providers at favourable prices.
