Over two weekends in October, a total of around 150 students in the Symphony Orchestra and the Senior Choir traveled into China on the High Speed Rail to perform in two exchange concerts with local schools, upon invitation by the Economic and Trade Office of the Government of the HKSAR in Wuhan (WHETO) as part of the 「閃耀香港2018」 cultural activities.

On October 14^th, the DGS Symphony Orchestra performed with the Wuhan Dongfang Shaonian Orchestra, the latter comprising students from the Wuhan Conservatory of Music; whilst on October 28^th, the Senior Choir performed with the Changsha Changjun Middle School students. Both performances were very well received by members of the public.
