Parent Teacher Association Annual General Meeting (30 September 2021)

On 30 September 2021, parents and teachers joined via webinar to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the DGS Parent Teacher Association during the PTA Annual General Meeting (AGM), held in the new Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab. Mrs. Christine Nip, Chairperson of the PTA, conducted the formal proceedings of the night and reported on the work of the PTA over the past academic year.

The Headmistresses of DGS and DGJS, Mrs. Stella Lau and Mrs. Annie Lee, then shared with parents how the School has continued to enrich teaching and learning despite the pandemic, with the support of the PTA. The junior school students created an inspiring video to describe their learning experiences through the five pillars of the DGS education. The two co-chairladies of the DGS Computer Club then conducted a live introduction of the AI Lab, with demonstrations of dancing robots and a drone swarm performance. 

The night closed with a poignant farewell to the School Supervisor, Mrs. Doris Ho, who would be retiring after the first term following 37 years of dedicated service to the school. The community also welcomed Ms. Benita Yu, longstanding member of the School Council and Chair of the Legal Sub-committee, to succeed Mrs. Ho. We look forward to another fruitful year of partnership to support the growth of our girls.
