With a faculty of 87 teachers who are professionally trained and capable of using English as the medium of instruction, students benefit from the teaching varied to meet their needs. In order to keep abreast of the latest education policies, curriculum changes and teaching methods, staff members actively share their expertise with other co-workers and pursue professional development through participation in relevant courses, seminars, workshops and exchanges.

As the School is operating as a Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) school with effect from September 2005, a number of Secondary One Discretionary Places are available to interested applicants. Details concerning application can be downloaded from our DSS Secondary One Application page. Secondary Four students are mainly comprised of students promoted directly from Secondary Three. Most students complete their secondary education at DGS and join local or overseas tertiary institutions.
