2 & 7 November 2018 -- Inter-house Athletics Heats and Finals

Beautiful weather and an impressive sports ground served as the backdrop to our annual Inter-house Athletics Meet this year, with students and staff alike enjoying the break from academics to celebrate the joy of sports at the Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground on the 2nd and 7th November. Whether on the track or the field, girls displayed their strength and agility as they thrust javelins and shotputs, leapt over hurdles and crossbars, and sprinted through finish lines.

Spectators likewise cheered on their housemates with energetic enthusiasm, with each house putting on brilliantly choreographed track dances during the Cheering Competition. Hurrell House eventually clinched the title, thanks partly to the surprise visit by an inflatable dinosaur mascot.

The Finals Day events ended with the anticipated Teachers' Relay, as students supported them with loud cheers and applause. The whole school then reconvened in a 400-metre Fun Walk around the field, before closing the day with prize presentations with our Athletics Team coaches serving as the guests of honour. Sawyer House eventually took first place overall, beating Hurrell House by only a few points. Thanks goes to all girls and their teachers for their enthusiastic participation in both Inter-house Athletics days, which contributed to the success of the event.

2-4 October 2018 -- Gospel Week & Harvest Festival

The annual Gospel Week came early this year in the first week of October, offering the school community a time to reflect on our value and purpose in the midst of the busyness of the term.

With the theme "Finding Myself", committee members of the Youth Fellowship blessed the school community with a thought-provoking message throughout the week’s morning assemblies, relating with their peers’ fears and insecurities through videos, skits, and songs, and holding out the hope of the Gospel: that in Christ we are dearly loved and created for an eternal purpose.

We were honoured also to have invited The Heralders (角聲使團) as our guests for the evangelistic meeting held on Wednesday afternoon, where old girls and other team members generously shared their music and life stories of rediscovering the peace and joy that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

To close the week, the School celebrated the annual Harvest Festival, as students and staff gave food items and monetary donations to help the needy in our society, with the desire to pass on God’s abundant blessings in our lives to those around us.
