Literary Study Tour to Shanghai (15 - 19 February 2025)

Forty-eight students from CNEC Christian College, Sha Tin Methodist College, and our school participated in an inter-school literary study tour in Shanghai. During the trip, students retraced the footsteps of iconic writers Eileen Chang (張愛玲) and Lu Xun (魯迅) through guided literature walks and visits to key landmarks.

Students explored the neighborhood linked to Eileen Chang’s illustrious novels, the Eddington House, and sites central to Lu Xun’s revolutionary essays, such as his former apartment and a bookshop he used to visit. By retracing the writers’ paths, participants immersed themselves in the city’s historical and literary legacy.

Students also had the opportunity to visit Fudan University, one of the best universities in Mainland China, which has nurtured generations of scholars and writers. By merging literary analysis with urban exploration, the event deepened students’ connection to China’s cultural and historical narratives
