School Year 2007-2008 (Archive)

(6-June-2008) We wish to take this opportunity to thank you all for giving us such an overwhelming support.  We are pleased to see over 2,000 participants joining the DGS Walkathon Family Day and many of them have expressed their enjoyment in the activities and particularly, the performances offered by our two headmistresses, the teachers and the girls.

We have been receiving many enquiries about the purchase of the newly launched souvenir items for that day. On the right is the Souvenir Re-order Form for submitting your further orders.  Please be reminded that this is the last offer and we will not be taking in more purchase after 13 Jun 2008.  Please go through the form carefully, especially on the instructions/details, and submit it together with a cheque to your class/form teacher or the school office on or before the deadline.  All proceeds collected are for benefitting the School Redevelopment Programme.

(19-Mar-2008) DGS, DGJS, PTA and DOGA invites parents, teachers, alumnae, students, friends of School and family members of the DGS community to participate in the DGS WALKATHON FAMILY DAY on 10 May 2008 from 1:30pm to 5:30pm at 1 Jordan Road.

(25-Feb-2008) Our call for T-shirt logos attracted 29 designers. It was a challenging yet fun job for the panel consisting of headmistresses, parents, teachers and old girls to choose one design from the 75 entries. A BIG THANK YOU to all who have poured their hearts and time into making the creative logos.

(14-Nov-2007) As DGS will launch a school newsletter in January 2008, the DGS Newsletter Team is inviting inputs from parents, old girls, teachers and students in proposing a newsletter name that would embrace the spirit of the school. This newsletter aims to cover the latest news and activities of DGS, DGJS, DGS-PTA, the Diocesan Old Girl's Association Ltd, the School's Redevelopment Project Office and the Development Office. Multiple entries are welcome. Deadline: Fri, 30 Nov 2007.

(29-Oct-2007) Congratulations to DOGA for having a record breaking number of 1100+ alumni attending their annual dinner held at DGS on Saturday, 27 Oct 2007.

(22-Oct-2007) DOGA will host their Choir Performance on 17 Nov 2007 at DGS.

(19-Sep-2007) Both DGS and DGJS will be in their respective hotel schools for the start of the new school year in April 2009.
