DGS WALKATHON

FAMILY DAY

All proceeds will go to the Diocesan Girls' School Education Foundation Limited benefitting the School Redevelopment Programme towards modernizing the entire school campus, upgrading facilities and equipment, and enhancing the scholarship fund, student financial aid and staff development fund.

 

Diocesan Girls' School, Diocesan Girls' Junior School, in cooperation with the DGS Parent Teacher Association and the Diocesan Old Girls’ Association Limited, will organize a fundraising Walkathon Family Day for members of the DGS community in May.

TIME:     1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
VENUE:  Diocesan Girls’ School, 1, Jordan Road, Kowloon

The DGS Walkathon Family Day is aimed at providing an opportunity for parents, teachers, students, alumnae, School Council members, guests and family members of the DGS community to participate in the walk to show their DGS spirit in the fundraising effort.  Activities being planned for the afternoon include a walk and team events, fun games, souvenir sales and food & drink sales.

For security and safety purposes, admission tickets bearing the official school chop will be issued to attendees prior to

the event. Admission tickets are good for one time entry.

WALK-THE-PATH

The walk is approximately 700m across the various buildings in the school campus and can be completed in a leisurely pace in 25 minutes. 

Participant categories: (i) Junior School Student, (ii) Senior School Student, (iii) Teacher/Staff, (iv) Parent, (v) Alumna and (vi) Other Family Member. All donations, big or small, are welcome.

Prizes: Highest Individual Sponsorship in each category, Highest Turnout Class, Highest Sponsorship Class, 20 Individuals with Top Sponsorships in the Overall Category.

A Walkathon T-shirt will be provided to each participant and is required to wear it when attending the event.

SEARCH-THE-SCHOOL

This event is for teams of 2 persons, one of whom must be a student or an alumna of the School.  Each team is given a set of photographs that lead the participants to different locations on the campus where they will be asked to respond to the instructions.

Participant categories: (i) Junior School Student, (ii) Senior School Student and (iii) Alumna. All donations, big or small, are welcome.

Prizes: Highest Score Team and Highest Sponsorship in each category.
