From the 9th of April to the 12th of April, 20 Secondary Four girls went on an exchange trip to National Tainan Girls' Senior High School. We had the opportunity to experience school in Tainan, a city 30 minutes away from Kaohsiung, and visit different monuments there.

The National Tainan Girls' Senior High School had kindly arranged us into 10 different classes in Senior Secondary 1 and 2, allowing us to attend a variety of classes including Chinese history, English and mathematics lessons. Our girls also got to enjoy stress relieving and notebook making classes, which were experiences that were relatively novel. The girls at the school were actively involved in sports, including volleyball and swimming, and some of us got to participate in these activities. All of us had a wonderful time with our buddies in our respective classes at the school.

Despite the difference in the education system and method of teaching in both schools, many similarities could be observed. Both have a long history of cultivating girls to become contributing and outstanding members of the society. It was an eye opening experience for us to learn from our sister schools.

Outside of school hours, we also visited different attractions in Tainan, including Anping Old Fort, the Taiwan Salt Museum and the Tainan Art Museum. We were able to know more about Tainan’s history and enjoy the different historical artefacts there.

Over the 5-day trip, we built longlasting friendships with our buddies, and have gained knowledge that would be with us for a long time. Thanks must be given to National Tainan Girls' Senior High School for their hospitality and hosting, which made this trip unforgettable and enjoyable, and Ms KM Tsui and Mr T Bugaj for taking care of us during the trip. Last but not least, we would also like to extend our gratitude to our Headmistress Mrs Lau for arranging and providing this eye-opening experience.
