A team of Secondary 4 to 5 girls were given opportunities to deepen their understanding about the aging population problem in Hong Kong through the Youth ImpACT Award competition. With the guidance and support from their teacher and different professionals, our students designed and constructed exercise equipment tailor-made to other pieces of home furniture. Such equipment targeted the needs of the elderly, especially those who are physically disabled or impaired, to encourage them to do more physical exercise at home. Their innovative ideas were awarded the Gold Prize.
