Upon invitation of the Hong Kong Education Bureau, 29 members from the DGS Concert Band participated in the 43^rd Kagoshima Prefecture Wind Festival as the featured guest ensemble. Our girls received high praise after delivering four set pieces and joining hands with Kagoshima Joho High School in a rendition of Frank Ticheli's Shenandoah.

We are especially grateful to the Education Bureau and the Kagoshima Prefecture Government for their invitation, and for the hospitality shown to us during our three-day visit. We look forward to more exchanges with Japanese schools as we continue to build cultural and educational bridges with our neighbours in the Pacific Rim.
