- 27 April 2018 -- Drama Night
A few months in the making, this year's Drama Night saw students, teachers, parents, and past students gathered together in the Assembly Hall for a spectacular evening of performances. The night showcased four original drama pieces written, directed, and performed by our Secondary 5 girls as part of their Aesthetic Development course.
With themes ranging from the struggles of a rain goddess (English), a dystopian state under an oppressive government (English), a Chinese teacher's nurturing of her remedial class (Putonghua), and the growth of fledgling fashion designers (musical), our girls' creativity shone through their colourful interpretations of the word "commitment".
Included in the night's show was an energetic routine by the Dance Team choreographed to a mashup of popular K-pop songs, as well as a piece by our School's Drama Ensemble titled "The Frame", delivering a stark reminder to audiences on the bondage of finding identity and self-worth in our social media personas.
The night closed with awards tallied from audience votes, presented to the drama pieces for best script, best stage design, best director, and best production. We congratulate our girls on the fruits of their labour in this thoroughly enjoyable Drama Night 2018.
