Despite the fact that the Swimming Heats was moved back to the School's in-house swimming pool due to inclement weather, there was a buzz of excitement as students and teachers gathered in the Kowloon Park Swimming Pool for the Inter-house Swimming Finals. The high levels of enthusiasm were on display in the songs and chants that reverberated across the pool, and all houses gave it their all in the cheering competition, with Skipton House rising to the top.
The swimmers of each house also put in their best efforts, showcasing the breathtaking results from countless hours of disciplined training. At the end of the day, two relay records and three individual records were rewritten, with two of the individual records formerly set by girls who had gone on to represent Hong Kong in the Olympic Games. The Overall Championship was claimed by Symons House, winning the top position in both B and C Grades.
The School was honoured to have Ms. Rosanna Sze Hang Yu, former student and Olympic swimmer, as Guest of Honour for the Prize Presentation Ceremony. Ms. Sze addressed the School, thanking the School for the support and nurturing she received as a student athlete, and encouraging current students through her own experiences to pursue excellence in all areas of school life.
