DGS 165th Anniversary Homecoming Carnival (19 & 20 December 2025)
As a special celebration for the School’s 165th Anniversary, the DGS Homecoming Carnival was held over two days that hosted thousands of guests on the Jordan Road campus. The Carnival encompassed our annual Mini Bazaar, an Open House event by DGJS, the DOGA Centennial Opening Ceremony, the Sustainability Fun Fair, and a range of music, dance and drama performances across school grounds. There was also a wonderful variety of food and snacks arranged by the PTA, as well as colourful decorations around the buildings contributed by students, teachers and parents alike.
Besides current students and their family members, we welcomed back many alumnae from across the decades, as well as members of the School Council, our former headmistresses and teachers for a weekend of heart-warming reunion. The two-day carnival culminated in a finale performance in the evening that centred around the theme of the life a DGS girl – from the tender age walking through the gates of 1 Jordan Road, to encountering the many possibilities and challenges later on in life, according to the recollections of an old alumna. Indeed, DGS has always been a place where we live out our school motto “Daily Giving Service” from generation to generation.
