20th July - 27th July 2010 World Choir Games in Shaoxing, China

Our group of musicians was overjoyed to have earned the World Champion Gold Medal in the Youth Choir of Equal Voices at the captioned event, which attracted a total of 472 choirs from 83 nations. In the Musica Sacra category, the Mixed Choir from the two Diocesan Schools also took the top prize and was honoured with the World Champion Gold Medal. I wish to invite all to share in our joy as we celebrate the triple victory, since the boys' choir also received the World Champion Gold Medal in the Youth Choir of Equal Voices for boys.

5th May 2010 - DGS 150th Anniversary Celebration Dinner

As our 2600 guests, parents, friends, teachers and girls entered the dinner venue at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre, all were awed to see the area transformed. We entered the Jordan Road school gate again and saw the facade of the School right on stage. The performances added colour to the evening of activities: the Speech delivered by the Honourable Henry Tang, Chief Secretary of the HKSAR, the Cake-lighting Ceremony, sale of souvenirs produced to celebrate the School's birthday and to commemorate our past, silent auction to contribute to the fund-raising drive and the free table prizes offered by our generous patrons and donors. It was indeed an evening to be preciously cherished by all who shared our joy of seeing God's blessings bestowed on DGS.
